Seared Ahi Tuna

Jimmy’z Kitchen really has a great concept and simple idea. Good food, exceptional taste and great laid-back atmosphere. My favorite dish is the Seared Ahi Tuna with jasmine rice, avocado and tomato salad. The soy ginger dipping sauce is tangy and pairs great with the dish. They also have a great choice of beers and wine….

The Carbonara Burger is Back!

This burger was first introduced at the Eating House during Hamburger Month. They only would make 24 burgers every Wednesday during that month and that was it. Now you can catch it again on their new lunch menu. Black Angus patty topped with Applewood smoked bacon, fontina cheese, black truffle, egg and Parmigiano. So stop by and come hungry and enjoy one of…

Easter Lunch at my Brother’s House

Easter this year was simple and non-traditional at our families Easter lunch. My brother made this rosemary roasted Cornish hen with ratatouille style vegetables and a cucumber and apple balsamic glazed salad. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

The Perfectly Tender Chicken Under a Brick.

One of the newest places to have lunch or dinner is at Verde at the new PAMM Museum. The menu is simple and has a wonderful selection of good food. The Chicken Under a Brick was extraordinary. Tender and so juicy that I craved it for days. The Crispy Yukon potatoes and the chimichurri complemented the dish. The…

Hungry For a Lamburger?

Usually it’s one of my favorite burgers to have. Mandolin Aegean Bistro with its vacation feel interiors really makes this burger amazing. The tomatoes, lettuce and grilled onions sit on top of Kefalograviera cheese. No ketchup needed here. Wash it down with their specialty Aegean Sangria and you will surely be on vacation while eating here.

No Bread Burger

Toston Burger is what I’m talking about! Fried plantain instead of bread embraces this clever and fresh take on an ordinary burger. Topped with Jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and homemade cilantro sauce will keep you from eating the same old burger again. Pincho Factory in Coral Gables is a great spot for lunch and early…

Meat Eaters Love it Too!

Who doesn’t like curry chicken or beef? Amazing flavors of sweet curry, peppers, onions all sautéed over steamed brown rice. And don’t forget the tofu! Yes tofu is the protein part of this traditional Thai dish. It’s  fresh and not too heavy for a good lunch at Pao Town in Coral Gables.

Spicing it up Before Lunch

Tempura Calamari with a delicious spicy marinara sauce was a great start to lunch at Caffe Vialetto in Coral Gables. Light and crunchy and decorated with black tasty sesame seeds made this dish pretty. Can’t wait for the rest of my lunch today!

Dulce de leche Panacotta

Sweet Friday lunch. It’s what we love about the end of the week. And to end it sweetly we found an amazing Dulce de leche Panacotta at Caffe Vialetto in Coral Gables. It’s on there Coral Gables Restaurant Week menu. Very creamy custard that’s not to sweet but perfectly flavored with dulce de leche. An amazing…
