A new restaurant in the MiMo district opened up and I’m already loving it. It’s called Loba Restaurant and it’s quite the spot. I tried their Market Whole Fish from their menu (pictured here). It has sorrel, arugula, orange, fennel, micro greens, pink guava and lemon. The bits of the pink guava on the fish is pretty amazing and tasty. The other offerings are just as delicious and well prepared. The interior space is comfortable and quaint and has a unique modern design with natural elements. Swing by when you are driving down the boulevard. You might just get a craving to come back.
Taperia Raca is the latest venture for the guys at Eating House. Boquerones is one of their platos frios (cold plates) form the menu. The marinated white anchovies with roasted lemon, herbs and a sliver of Florida grapefruit on top of a crusty and delicious bread drizzled with spanish olive oil is an extraordinary and flavorful bite! That was a mouth full!
I am so excited to be part of The Guinea Club dinners at Addy-licious Kitchen! This group of foodies get together and enjoy amazing dishes from all around the world. Addy creates these amazing and sometimes 5-7 course meals that last 4-5 hours long. Her partner Dawn entertains us with refreshing libations. This Spicy Salt-and-Pepper Shrimp dish that everyone enjoyed made with lemon juice, soy sauce, minced fresh cilantro, sugar and minced garlic. It was served with a citrus-soy dipping sauce at room temperature. Can’t wait for the next adventure at The Guinea Club with Addy and Dawn and the rest of the foodies.
This is and was an amazing Carpaccio appetizer at Prima Pasta in Miami Beach. The combination of sun-dried tomatoes, capers, olive oil, lemon, aged goat cheese, arugula with shaved black truffle over filet mignon is delicious. It’s always great to come here and enjoy a great meal with amazing service. Love it!
This amazing dish was one of the dishes we learned how to make during our Edge Steak & Bar Popup Cooking Class Series with Chef Aaron Brooks. It was really a wonderful treat and easy to make. The outstanding citrus and buttery taste of this dish was well balance and tangy! The grilled bread complimented the sauce and captured the smoky taste of the smoked tomatoes. Truly a winner!
