Jimmy’z Kitchen really has a great concept and simple idea. Good food, exceptional taste and great laid-back atmosphere. My favorite dish is the Seared Ahi Tuna with jasmine rice, avocado and tomato salad. The soy ginger dipping sauce is tangy and pairs great with the dish. They also have a great choice of beers and wine. The guava cheesecake is outstanding.
Hidden near the Design District in Miami is a wonderful sushi restaurant that’s been one of my favorites. Shokudõ by World Resource Cafe is a nicely designed space where service and food is always fresh and inventive. I had the Ahi Tuna Poke that has fresh Ahi tuna, macadamia, avocado and scallions served with Taro chips. I love this place with its amazing relaxed patio and easy parking and NO Miami crowd if you know what I mean. 😉
Craving a real good chicken sandwich? Kush in Wynwood has won my heart! This small but quaint place is brought to you by the guys at The Lokal. This crispy free-range fried chicken with melted jack, avocado, dill pickles, homemade BBQ sauce and rooftop arugula on a whole wheat bun really taste good. And with their amazing craft beer menu, you’ll really enjoy this place.
I love when I find a restaurant that is tucked in a place where you don’t get the rush of the trendy foodies. It’s like having a meal without the attitude. Obba Sushi is a find. The sushi is fresh and pretty creative. This is the South Beach Roll. Give a try when you com. After dinner you can go for a walk right next to the bay.
I love fresh Ahi tuna and when paired with mangos, avocados and mixed greens there is no stopping me. Hailstone makes a very good Sashimi Tuna salad that’s perfectly seared and fresh. I always enjoy my lunches here and this delicious salad always fits the bill.
