Taste Like Home Goodness!

Have you ever been to a good restaurant that serves amazing food and to top it off, it reminds you of good home cooking! Casa Larios in South Miami is that place every time I visit. From the friendly service to the tasty Cuban cuisine that never disappoints.

Lorenzos on the Beach.

Tucked away on 18th and Collins Avenue adjacent to the Redbury Hotel South Beach is this casual elegant restaurant called Lorenzo. The pickled onions with shaved roasted garlic over a grilled Mahi Mahi was outstanding in flavor and presentation. The bottom of the dish had a pea purée with dabs of cream. Can’t wait to see the…

Lobster Shrimp Roll. FRESH!

One of my favorite restaurants is Edge Steak & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. The Maine Lobster Lemon Poached Shrimp with Tomato Jam and soft Brioche Hoagie is very good and perfect for a light and tasty lunch. Check out the brunch menu too. You will not be disappointed!

Simple Sushi at Its Best.

Mini Pizzettes Full of Flavor

I went to La Gazzetta in Brickell this past week and really had a surprisingly good dinner paired with attentive service. We had a special six-course tasting menu with wonderful wines for each course. The Asian BBQ Pulled Pork Mini Pizzette was excellent. Great texture and well presented on a board. They also have an Ahi Tuna…

Nothing like good fried chicken during the Summertime. I got the chance to try this small bite of deliciousness during a preview to Lee Brian Schrager, Adeena Sussman and Evan Sung new cookbook Fried & True. The Biscuit Love Truck’s East Nasty Sandwich was pretty amazing and not to say that the book has more than fifty recipes from…

Better than Potato Chips.

Whenever you go to a Cuban restaurant and don’t know what kind of appetizer to order, try these banana chips called Mariquitas. They come with a mojo sauce that works really well with these golden sweet and crispy treats. You can find them at Little Havana Restaurant in North Miami.

Lettuce Wrapped Burger

Love the old classic burger. 8oz Chef’s blend of freshly ground steaks topped with Romaine Lettuce, Tomato & Red Onion is all I need on my burger. Vegas Burger Bar in North Miami is a good spot to grab one. The menu also serves a good list of beers. Check them out and see which burger takes…

Easter Lunch at my Brother’s House

Easter this year was simple and non-traditional at our families Easter lunch. My brother made this rosemary roasted Cornish hen with ratatouille style vegetables and a cucumber and apple balsamic glazed salad. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
